How government affects your credit score
Role of government in the development of such firms and establishment of their international operations could be a source of valuable resource for such fi rms. It is argued that the home country environment plays a very important role in the internationalization process of firms (Wan and Hoskisson, 2003). It is also generally argued that the business environment of emerging economies is not particularly munifi cent for internationalization. A look at the global indicators confi rms this notion. However, if we carefully study the specific environment in which a particular business operates, we can see a different pattern. Thus, while it is true that the munifi cence of the environment plays an important role, it is not entirely true that the environment in developing countries is not munifi cent. In fact, the environment is highly munifi cent for the business which internationalize from a particular country (software and pharmaceutical from India, textiles from China, and so forth). Governments view such ventures as a symbol of national pride and go all the way to listen to their needs and demands. Recent advances of some of the Chinese firms in the global market place can be attributed to this unique resource. Use of cheap labour by Korean fi rms and English fluent labours for Indian firms are some examples pointing towards the institution specifi c resources utilized by these fi rms to their advantage.
